When Grace Dallimore rang me last year to ask if I could photograph her winter wedding in Toowoomba I squealed an immediate and delighted ‘’yes, please!’’ because: winter, hills, and Grace are all seriously awesome things.
Now; add into that mix a terrific country bloke (enter, Glen) and two fun-filled, close-knit families from both sides (many of who I grew up with) and well, you have a pretty incredible day in store.
The venue for this occasion was Preston Peak Winery in Toowoomba, and truly, I could’ve spent ten hours shooting the spectacular backdrops alone. Alas – one of my noble promises to brides and grooms is that the day is NOT about me or my Instagram account or nabbing the most dramatic shots in Planet Wedding History and making bridal parties disappear for hours on end – it’s about getting two married humans back to their family and friends very promptly: because that is what the whole day is about, to me.
So my little flippers were going hard for these two, because holy cow, it was stunning. And so are they. And so are their family, friends, and basically the entire vibe!
Grace and Glen – you are a delight. Honestly, a total delight. The total raw adoration, respect, and love you have for each other was an honour to witness, capture, and now share.
Thank you for trusting me with that massive job.
I wish you both a lifetime of love, peace, happiness, and loads of cute blonde curly-haired poppets, hilly backdrops, cows, mountain air, adventures, and friendship.
To the extended Dallimore and Hammond family and friends – and the spectacular and VERY cheeky bridal parties – thank you for once again making me feel 100% like part of the family and part of the furniture.
As you may (or may not!) know: I draw inspiration and motivation from so many of you and your resilience, capacity to keep going, and your collective sense of unity and strength of character.
I adore so many of you for so many reasons.
Grace-Face & Glen – enjoy the blog!!!
With oodles of hugs,
